| Interesting premise for a story, and it sounded like it could be fun, but Jim Carrey comedy that I am concerned about the emergence of Morgan Freeman made me rethink. The problem is that this is Mr. Carrey tries to curb his wild and crazy things rubber face. | This is a horribly boring and morally judgmental film. It reminds me of a terrible truth Frank Capra movie, with Jim Carrey gags ad libbing. Personally, I like Carrey (Ace Ventura I believe this is one of the best physical and acting always love that movie) but do not have much to work here. This DVD movie Bruce Almighty is not even funny Carrey as the top performance (in a part of something that is miscast) can not save this ruling. The message of the film, which is basically to know their place and I believe in higher powers, and they know what is best for fascist is undeniable and ignored centuries of discourse on theodicy too. There are many theological plotholes its amazing, but granted him only a movie. Probably would not have had time to notice the contradictions, if the film: Bruce Almighty was not so boring. | I thought the Bruce Almighty Comedy movie was fun, but I think Jim Carey took the film. There are not enough well-developed characters in the Bruce Almighty movie so it is difficult to really care about them at all or have a sense of who they are, because you are all glimpses of characters. I love the fact that a black actor the role of God, because it is often assumed to be a white man with a long white beard flowing and it's good to break stereotypes. I can also imagine that many of us would react the same way in the beginning, if granted with the powers of the omnipotent. The key thing to remember is that as it says in the Bruce Almighty movie that we all have free will, and how to get people to love God when there is no free will to face. | I like Jim Carrey, my favorite of his duties are dumb and Dumber, The Mask, The Truman Show, The Majestic, and the man on the moon. His problem is when one is where Jim Carrey comes out too, a similar problem with certain features Robin Williams. And that is the problem I have with 'Bruce Almighty'. Carrey little he did in this DVD movie Bruce Almighty was enjoyable for me. The scene was more fun, where, playing God in the study of substance, makes the news to its rival faces babbling incoherently, while in the air. But it was not that Carrey was funny. Overall not a very satisfying film. Ebert, the critic has its usual full review but I would not rate as highly as he is. |
